Fun Festivity Findings

Beginning this week, here are some neat things that can be your saving grace from holiday madness:
This Thursday, October 4th marks the opening reception of the Federation Gallery’s Annual International Representational show (AIRS).
The Federation Gallery is run by the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) founded in 1941 by artists including Group of Seven member, Lawren Harris. The FCA is a non-profit organization with chapters throughout Canada and is the first artist sponsored gallery and workshop.

Thursday, October 13th is all about...

PAUL WONG

Next Thursday is the opening of the Paul Wong exhibit at Winsor Gallery.
Paul Wong is said to be a local ignitor of media arts and much of his work combines video and photography with sound.

He has achieved a high regard in the industry and has been presented with both the Governor General's award in New Media and the Bell Canada Award.

Paul Wong is known internationally as his work is currently located at McMaster University, University of Toronto, Concordia University, Queen's University, Museum of Modern Art (New York), National Film Board, Centre Cultural Canadien (Paris) and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
